Monster Hunter Outlanders PC: How to Play on PC and Mac

Published · Updated

Short answer

There is no official Monster Hunter Outlanders PC version. The game launched on October 28, 2026 for iOS and Android only, with no Steam, Mac or console release announced. You can run the Android version on Windows or Mac through an emulator such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer or MuMu, but that is unofficial and may risk account action.

Below: what a Monster Hunter Outlanders PC setup involves, which emulator to try, the specs on both sides, and how risky each option is.

Is there an official Monster Hunter Outlanders PC version?

No. TiMi Studio Group and Capcom built Outlanders for phones and tablets, and the official launch FAQ lists only iOS and Android. Game8's platform page (last updated October 25, 2026) says there are no plans for a PC release and that no console version is confirmed. GameSaiyan, checked on October 24, also lists PC as not confirmed. Nothing changed at launch: there is no Steam store page, no Epic listing and no standalone PC client.

We found no sign of the game on Google Play Games for PC either, and no source mentions it. One site claimed a Nintendo Switch version before launch; nobody else backs it up.

How to play Monster Hunter Outlanders on PC with an emulator

Every Monster Hunter Outlanders PC setup today runs the Android version inside an emulator. Pocket Gamer names BlueStacks, LDPlayer and MuMu Player as the popular choices. Expect about half an hour, mostly the download.

  1. Install an Android emulator. Download BlueStacks, LDPlayer or MuMu Player from the vendor's own website. On a Mac, BlueStacks offers BlueStacks Air.
  2. Pick an Android 12 or newer instance. The game's minimum Android version is 12, so check the emulator's Android version and create a newer instance if it offers one.
  3. Sign in to Google Play. Open the Play Store inside the emulator and sign in with a Google account.
  4. Install Monster Hunter Outlanders. Search the Play Store for Monster Hunter Outlanders and install it. Leave room for a download of roughly 16 GB.
  5. Log in with a bound account. Log in with the same account you bound on your phone to keep your progress, or start a separate account you can afford to lose.

There is no separate Monster Hunter Outlanders PC download. Any site offering a PC installer or an APK "for Windows" is not official; get the game only through the Play Store inside your emulator.

Windows, Mac or an iPhone account: which route fits?

On Windows, all three emulators work the same way. On a Mac, the documented option is BlueStacks Air, which BlueStacks lists for macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later on Intel or Apple silicon. If your progress is on an iPhone, the emulator still runs the Android version, so what matters is the account, not the device: bind it in the game's settings before you switch. Game8's reroll guide describes binding under Settings > Privacy on Garena servers. Global and Garena accounts are separate, so pick the same region version you play on your phone.

Decision flowchart: on a Windows PC use BlueStacks, LDPlayer or MuMu; on a Mac use BlueStacks Air on macOS 11 or later; with an iPhone-only account, bind the account first, then log in on the emulator, or mirror the phone to a bigger screen instead. What do you play on?Windows PCBlueStacks,LDPlayer or MuMu(Android 12+)MacBlueStacks AirmacOS 11 or laterIntel or Apple siliconiPhone-only accountBind account first, then log in on emulatoror mirror your phone

Monster Hunter Outlanders PC requirements and phone specs

An emulator has to meet two sets of numbers: the game's own Android requirements inside the virtual phone, and the emulator's requirements on your computer. Pocket Gamer published the official pre-download notice on October 28:

TieriOSAndroid
MinimumiOS 15+, iPhone 8 Plus or newer, 3 GB RAMAndroid 12+, Snapdragon 835 / Dimensity 920, 4 GB RAM
RecommendediOS 17+, iPhone 13 Pro or newer, 6 GB RAMAndroid 12+, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / Dimensity 9200, 8 GB RAM

The official FAQ gives a single simpler line: iOS 17 or Android 12 and 6 GB of RAM. The App Store listing shows iOS 15.0 or later and a 3.6 GB initial download, so most of the data comes after the first launch. For a Monster Hunter Outlanders PC install, plan disk space for the emulator plus the full Android download:

Stacked bar chart of disk space: BlueStacks needs 10 GB free plus about 16 GB for the game, around 26 GB total; LDPlayer recommends 10 GB plus 2 GB on the system disk plus 16 GB for the game, around 28 GB total.BlueStacksEmulator 10Game ~16≈ 26 GBLDPlayerEmulator 10Game ~16≈ 28 GBFree disk space needed (GB)Grey = LDPlayer's 2 GB on the system disk
Plan for about 26 to 28 GB free. Vendor figures plus Pocket Gamer's 16 GB Android download.

Is an emulator safe? The ban risk ladder

Nobody official has said emulators are banned, and nobody has said they are allowed. Pocket Gamer warns that the developers might ban accounts they detect on one and that menus can feel clumsy without a native port. GameSaiyan's author does not recommend them. Here is how the options compare:

Risk ladder from lowest to highest: an official phone, an official tablet, mirroring the phone to a bigger screen with a controller, and finally an Android emulator on PC or Mac, the only unofficial option.PhoneOfficialTabletOfficialMirror phoneStill the phone appEmulatorUnofficialLower riskHigher risk
Only the last step leaves the official app. The FAQ lists tablets as supported devices.

The honest alternative is mirroring: Pocket Gamer suggests casting your phone to a bigger screen with a controller, so you keep the official app. If you do use an emulator, a fresh account limits the damage; see our reroll guide before you spend time on one.

Controller support

The official FAQ lists controller support. Launch coverage says it starts with hunting, quests and field exploration; Pocket Gamer calls it full support. In an emulator a gamepad goes through the emulator's own mapping, so test it in a hunt first.

Which version should you download?

Level Infinite runs the global version (North America, Europe, Japan). Garena runs Southeast Asia. The two use separate accounts, and you can't move progress between them, so pick the one for your region before you start, on phone and emulator alike. Once you're in, grab the free rewards on our codes page, check the tier list, and pick a starter from the weapon picker or the monster weakness finder. Everything else is on the home page.

That's the global launch in your time zone. Servers opened at 22:00 UTC on October 28, 2026, which was 06:00 on October 29 in Singapore, Manila and Hong Kong, 07:00 in Tokyo, and 3:00 pm Pacific on October 28.

Monster Hunter Outlanders PC FAQ

Is there a Monster Hunter Outlanders PC version on Steam?

No. It is an iOS and Android game. Game8 (updated October 25, 2026) says there are no plans for PC, and no Steam page or PC client has appeared since the October 28 launch.

Can you get banned for playing Monster Hunter Outlanders on an emulator?

Possibly. Emulators are unofficial, and Pocket Gamer warns the developers might ban accounts they detect. We found no official emulator policy either way as of October 29, 2026.

How do I play Monster Hunter Outlanders on a Mac?

Use BlueStacks Air, which BlueStacks lists for macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, sign in to Google Play and install the Android version. We could not confirm whether the iOS version is offered on Apple silicon Macs through the Mac App Store.

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders on Nintendo Switch, PS5 or Xbox?

No. Game8 says Capcom and TiMi have not confirmed Switch 1, Switch 2, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions.

Can I move my iPhone progress to an emulator?
