Monster Hunter Outlanders Reroll Guide

Published · Updated

Short answer

Reroll only if you are starting fresh and can spare a few hours. Each Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll takes 25 to 40 minutes, and at the 0.6% SSR rate from beta data, the roughly 26 free pulls give about a 1-in-7 chance of an SSR. Aim for Midori, Arkaya or Keres; Luka and Pyro are free anyway.

This Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll guide puts Game8 and GameSaiyan side by side and does the math they leave out.

Should you reroll? A quick decision chart

The two big guides disagree. Game8 says a Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll is worth it for a strong start, unless you have already sunk hours into the account. GameSaiyan advises against it: the trip to Recruitment is slow and most early pulls are Standard Contracts, which cannot be spent on the featured banner. Answer four questions first.

Decision flowchart. If you already played hours past Recruitment, keep the account. If you have no fresh login per try, do not reroll. If you are not fine spending about 3.5 hours for one SSR, play with the free SSRs Luka and Pyro. If Midori is the only SSR you would keep, skip rerolling because she takes about 56 tries on average. Otherwise reroll and keep the first SSR from the target table.Played hours past Recruitmenton this account already?YesKeep it. Best Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll targets

Reroll tiers as each site printed them at launch. GameSaiyan's list is based on the third closed beta, so Rhodes has no rating.

Luka is GameSaiyan's top pick, but he and Pyro are free from launch events, so neither is worth a reroll. Game8 also strongly recommends rerolling for an SSR buddy, which it says you need later for Adventurer Power. Pocket Gamer and GameSaiyan report that the separate buddy banners were removed after the second closed beta, so treat that tip with care. For who to build afterwards, see the tier list.

How to reroll in MHO on Garena and Level Infinite

The Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll method depends on your publisher: Garena in Southeast Asia, Level Infinite elsewhere. Pocket Gamer (single source) says accounts do not carry over between the two. Game8 prefers guest accounts on Garena; GameSaiyan warns that guests miss the pre-registration rewards. Neither is confirmed since launch, so on your first guest attempt check whether Raya and the 20 Standard Contracts arrived in mail. If not, switch to a linked login.

  1. Pick the login for your region. On Garena (Southeast Asia) start as a guest. On Level Infinite (global) use a fresh email or Google login for every attempt.
  2. Play the story to Recruitment. Skip cutscenes and use a weapon you clear fast with. Recruitment opens with the Adventurers Gather mission after your first Kulu-Ya-Ku hunt, about 25 to 40 minutes in.
  3. Collect every free contract. Open your mail for the sign-up and pre-registration rewards, then claim Maple Echoes and Departure Gifts. Redeem code mho1029 if the Event Center (Adventure Rank 5) is already open.
  4. Pull in the right order. Spend Featured Contracts on the Midori banner first, then Standard Contracts on the Beginner banner, where GameSaiyan says a 10-pull costs 8 contracts.
  5. Keep or retry. Keep the account if you hit an SSR from the target table. On Garena bind it under Settings, Privacy; otherwise clear app data and start again. On Level Infinite log out in Settings and sign in with the next login.
Two reroll loops side by side. Garena: log in as guest, play the story to Recruitment, claim mail and pull, then either bind the account to keep it or clear app data and repeat. Level Infinite: use a new email or Google login, play to Recruitment, claim mail and pull, then keep the account or log out and repeat with the next login.Garena (Southeast Asia)Log in asguestStory toRecruitmentClaim mail, then pullKeep: bind itRetry: clear datarepeatLevel Infinite (global)New email orGoogle loginStory toRecruitmentClaim mail, then pullKeep: doneRetry: log outrepeat

Per-attempt checklist

Free pulls at the reroll point

The guides count the free pulls on a Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll differently. Game8 lists 5 Featured and 20 Standard Contracts in the sign-up mail plus one Featured Contract from Maple Echoes. GameSaiyan's reroll page counts 15 Standard Contracts from pre-registration (its own gacha page and mhoutlanders.wiki say 20), 8 to 12 more from early events, and 200 Rutacoins from codes. The 150 vs 160 Rutacoin price only changes how much is left over: 200 Rutacoins buy one pull either way.

Stacked bars of free pulls at the first Recruitment. Game8 counts 6 Featured and 20 Standard Contracts, 26 pulls. GameSaiyan counts 15 Standard Contracts from pre-registration, 8 to 12 more from events, and one pull from 200 Rutacoins, about 24 to 28 pulls.Game86 Featured20 StandardGameSaiyan15 Standard+8 to 12+10102030pulls

Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll odds and time cost

No guide works out what a reroll costs in time, so here is the math. It uses GameSaiyan's third closed beta rates (0.6% SSR, 0.3% for the featured SSR), Game8's count of 6 Featured plus 20 Standard pulls, and 30 minutes per attempt. Pity does not help here: the nearest guarantee is 50 pulls away.

Midori1 − 0.99761.8%~56~28 h
Line chart of the chance of success against hours spent rerolling at 30 minutes per try. The any-SSR line passes 50% after about 2.2 hours, 71% at 4 hours and 96% at 10 hours. The Midori line rises slowly to 13% at 4 hours and 30% at 10 hours.0%25%50%75%100%0 h2 h4 h6 h8 h10 hhours of rerolling (30 min per try)50% after ~2.2 hAny SSR: 96% by 10 hMidori: 30% by 10 h

So a Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll for any standard SSR is a one-evening job, while one for Midori is not realistic. Her 120-pull guarantee on your main account is the better path; Game8 puts weekly Rutacoin income at about 450, or three pulls. Higher launch rates would improve every number here.

Gacha rates and pity

Only the 90-pull SSR guarantee is backed by two sources. The rest comes from GameSaiyan's third closed beta banners; Pocket Gamer gives the same 50, 90 and 120 thresholds from earlier tests. GameSaiyan also lists effective rates with pity included: 1.6% for any SSR and 1.07% for the featured SSR on the Featured banner. Weapons are not on the gacha, only adventurers.

Pity tracks on a 0 to 300 pull scale. Beginner banner: SSR guaranteed at 50. Featured banner: SR every 10 pulls, SSR at 90, featured SSR at 120. Standard banner: SSR at 90 and a free SSR choice at 300. A dashed line at 26 pulls shows the free pulls at the reroll point fall short of every guarantee.BeginnerSSR 50FeaturedSSR 90Featured SSR 120SR every 10StandardSSR 90Pick any SSR 300300 pulls~26 free pulls at reroll

Common reroll mistakes

If none of this sounds fun, skip the Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll entirely: the free adventurers above carry the story, and your weapon choice matters more than one extra SSR. More tools are on the Field Kit home.

Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll FAQ

How long does a Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll take?

Game8 times one attempt at 25 to 30 minutes and GameSaiyan at 30 to 40, because Recruitment only opens with the Adventurers Gather mission. At about 30 minutes a try and roughly a 1-in-7 chance of an SSR per try, expect around 3.5 hours on average.

Is rerolling worth it in MHO?

Only on a brand new account. Game8 recommends it for a strong start, while GameSaiyan advises against it because most early pulls are Standard Contracts. Two free SSRs, Luka and Pyro, come from launch events, so you can skip rerolling and still have a solid team.

Can you reroll with a guest account?

Game8 says yes on Garena servers: play as a guest, clear app data to retry, and bind the account under Settings, Privacy when you like your pulls. GameSaiyan warns that guest accounts miss pre-registration rewards (Raya and 20 Standard Contracts), so check your mail on the first guest attempt.

What is the pity in Monster Hunter Outlanders?

An SSR is guaranteed within 90 pulls on the Featured and Standard banners. GameSaiyan's closed-beta data adds an SR every 10 pulls, the featured SSR within 120, an SSR within 50 on the Beginner banner, and a free SSR pick after 300 Standard pulls. Launch numbers may differ.

How many Rutacoins does one pull cost?

Game8 lists 150 Rutacoins per Featured or Standard Contract, so 1,500 for a 10-pull. GameSaiyan lists 160 per pull, but its figures come from the third closed beta. Either way, the 200 Rutacoins from code mho1029 buy one pull.

Who is the best reroll target?

Midori, the limited Long Sword adventurer on the launch banner, is Game8's SS pick. She is also the hardest to land, at 0.3% per featured pull in beta data. Arkaya and Keres are the realistic targets; skip Luka and Pyro, who are free.
